There's no limit to the number of players. However, by default, only two waypoints to the treasure are possible. This number can be increased to up to nine by purchasing the corresponding package from the respective app store for currently €4.99.

The age of the participants should be between six and twelve years. You can select the age of the participants during configuration from the categories 6–8, 9–10, and 11–12 years. The guardians will then ask questions from the selected category. However, you are free to choose questions from other age groups if you believe they are appropriate. For €1.99, you can purchase a package in the respective app store that allows you to use your own questions as well.

In the default configuration, each guardian asks one question. However, you can change this to up to three questions per guardian. For example: two players are participating, and you have set that each guardian asks two questions. Then the process is as follows: the players are given two waypoints, where each guardian asks two questions.

For each question asked by a guardian, four possible answers are shown, of which three are incorrect and one is correct. If a question is answered incorrectly, there will be an acoustic response from the guardian and the wrong answer will be hidden. Even if the participants give three wrong answers, only the correct answer will remain in the end. Therefore, "failing" is not possible and every guardian can eventually be "defeated"!

Of course—what would a treasure hunt be without a treasure map? Currently, six lovingly designed maps are available to choose from.

Depending on the number of participants, you will need to determine waypoints before the treasure hunt begins. At these locations, the guardians will ask their questions. For each waypoint, a location on the treasure map is defined first. Then, an image or photo is selected that corresponds to the waypoint.

Example 1) You plan the treasure hunt as part of a children's birthday party on a playground. Waypoints or hints could be a climbing frame, a swing, or another distinctive point.

Example 2) You plan the treasure hunt at your home or in your apartment. Waypoints or hints could be a specific piece of furniture, such as a certain table, a vase, or a toy.

Example 3) You can also think bigger! The treasure hunt can take place in a forest, a park, or an entire neighborhood—you are free to choose the waypoints and hints.
